Last week was our first week with students back in the building. It is always a ‘busy’ week. Hopefully, the next couple of weeks will see things return to some kind of normal!
🌍 All Geographers
If you are a geography teacher, subscribe to the 🔗 Map Men on YouTube. One of their recent uploads 🔗 Why is North up? is worth a watch. DP Geography teachers may even find it useful for links with the Theory of Knowledge course.

I think I have shared the wonderful 🔗 VR Glaciers & Glaciated Landscapes from the University of Worcester before. A free access lesson on geographyalltheway.com uses it here → 🔗 ae.03 Exploring glacial landscapes.
The team have released a new ‘self-guided, immersive virtual field trip’ of the Arolla Valley, Switzerland 🔗 here. Well worth checking out.

In the last couple of months, I have started two new Flipboard magazines in an effort to curate contemporary news articles about 🇲🇦 Morocco and 🇮🇸 Iceland. You can find them here → 🇲🇦 Morocco and 🇮🇸 Iceland.

This one comes from my mother. Install the Merlin app on your phone and then download the regional data file for your area. Run the app, and it will listen for any bird song and identify the species making the noise. It’s an interesting, free app for looking at the bird-based biodiversity in your area. Visual identification tools are also included in the app.
