How do you know what you don’t know? - Issue 39
⚙ Operational notes
Some people have returned from spring break, while others are enjoying a final week of rest and recuperation before the concluding term of the academic year.
Last week, I spent a fantastic two days at the 🔗 2023 Geographical Association Conference in the mighty city of Sheffield. I will share some of my key takeaways over the coming issues of this newsletter.
🌍 All Geographers
I will lead a teacher inspection visit to Morocco, with 🔗 Discover Ltd, from 27th to 29th October 2023. Places are filling up fast - so if you are interested, you may need to act quickly. You will find more information and what you need to do to reserve your place 🔗 here.
🧑🎓 IB DP Geographers
ManageBac has commissioned 🔗Garry Goodwin to produce subject concept posters. They are rather splendid and available for free from 🔗 ManageBac. Impress your colleagues in the staff room by sharing those available for other DP subjects and the MYP too.
⬆ Updates
I will be hosting 🔗 GeogChat on Twitter, on Wednesday, 26th April, at 8 pm UK time. Join me, and others, to share approaches around the idea of what you do when you find a ‘geographical treasure’.
👓 Random
I have mentioned before that I like a good podcast. 🔗 The Lazarus Heist from the BBC World Service is a great podcast, and series two started a couple of weeks ago. There is actually quite a strong link with the IB DP Geography syllabus - hacking, power, networks, global interactions and more.
